Haley's Cabin

I've read the good and I've read the bad...and Haley's Cabin falls somewhere in the middle. Haley is going through some troubling times: a bad marriage, a complicated divorce, and a stressful job send her to the brink of completely losing it. Per her doctor's request, Haley, is off to a reclusive hideaway for rest and relaxation...but if the steamy vision she just experienced is any indication of what is to come...rest and relaxation won't be part of this vacation ;)

All right, stop me if you heard (or read) this before. A gorgeous, chiseled hunk, Jeremy, is on his way to visit his brother at his cabin when his car breaks down and leaves him stranded in the middle of no where. Anyone care to guess who the first person he meets is? That's right, Haley. Who didn't see that coming? So we have a sweaty, shirtless, well-chiseled hunk and a gorgeous woman on the rebound. The only question left to ask is if they will leave the cabin during the trip?

This book is steam, steam, steam. From the beginning your eyebrows will rise as a bead of sweat trickles down the side of your face. There is a story here (albeit very predictable) but there is a story. The characters are well-drawn but remain caricatures of the romance genre. Over all three stars...not bad, but not great either. If you want to read a story that masters the genre I'd highly recommend reading Geo Tin's novel: Sirens
